Kier Property has started on site at its first Trade City scheme in Manchester. The scheme totals 93,000sq ft and comprises of nine units ranging from 3,800sq ft – 23,600sq ft on the 4.8-acre site.
The site sits just one mile north of Manchester City Centre and forms part of the established Cheetham Hill Industrial area, close to Cheetham Retail Park and Manchester Fort Shopping Park.
Kier Property, in partnership with Investec, purchased the site in February 2022. As well as delivering high specification and flexible units to meet occupier requirements, Kier Property has also designed the development to achieve high sustainability credentials including BREEAM excellent and Energy Performance Certificate – A.
Triton Construction Ltd has been appointed by the partnership to build the scheme and the units will be available early Summer 2024.
The development is situated close to Manchester city centre, with direct access via the A665 Cheetham Hill Road. It is also situated near to the Manchester & Salford Inner Ring Road and the national motorway networks, being close to junction 3 of the M602 and junction 17 of the M60. In addition, the development is only 10 miles north of Manchester International Airport.
Kier Property has appointed Colliers and CBRE as joint letting agents on the scheme.
