Kier has been reappointed to two major frameworks that are set to deliver vital healthcare, education and other public projects across Wales.
The leading infrastructure services and construction and property provider, which has bases in Cardiff and Swansea, has been successfully appointed to multiple lots on the ‘NHS Building for Wales 2’ framework, which focuses on significant healthcare projects across Wales, and the ‘South West Wales Regional Contractor Framework (SWWRCF)’, which has supported a range of public projects in the region.
Appointments include Lots 1 and 2 on the Building for Wales framework, which encompass all projects with values upwards of £7m. On SWWRCF the company has been appointed to three lots, again providing access to all projects of £7m or more.
Kier has recently completed a number of projects on previous iterations of these frameworks, including work at both Singleton and Morriston hospitals in Swansea, the £64m Fitzalan High School in Cardiff, and Coleg y Cymoedd’s Sporting Centre of Excellence in Nantgarw.
"Our re-appointment to these frameworks demonstrates a trust in Kier to deliver Wales’ crucial infrastructure and capital projects.
“We have a great history on these frameworks and have delivered some incredible projects that have brought huge benefits to people across the country.
“From schools and hospitals to law courts and even the home of Welsh television, S4C, we have maintained a strong presence in Wales for almost 60 years – and we look forward to continuing this for years to come."
